Variegated x Dune

Jesse planned this creative retreat in conjunction with The Wedding Artist Collective, The Venue Report and 100 Layer Cake. He wanted to take this event as an opportunity to collaborate with new vendors, meet and get to know new wedding industry influencers and also audition some fun and innovative event ideas he’d been dreaming up for months. The group enjoyed the incredible Rancho Pescadero Resort for three days, complete with surf lessons, a cooking class, private yoga instruction, raging beach bonfires and, of course, beautifully designed alfresco dinners.

Memories & moments…

Memories & moments…

For this retreat, Jesse wanted to give guests the opportunity to journal, get introspective and release from their everyday hustle. Providing each guest with a journal at the beginning of the trip allowed for them to reflect, draw or write a letter to a loved one. It’s these kinds of details that guests will cherish and remember for years to come.

Garden inspired blooms…

Here at Jesse Tombs, the more natural, textural and garden-inspired, the better. Here Jesse worked with Josefina “Pina” Hernandez to create floral centerpieces that popped with accents of dark rich colors, along with the main color - vibrant fuchsia. Jesse wanted to modernize the look with dusty sage green and chartreuse. Pink and green is one of Jesse’s favorite color combinations.

Mixing hard & soft lines…

Mixing hard & soft lines…

Here, Jesse mixed the hard lines of the Mexican-inspired table linen and the geometric glass and iron lanterns with the romance and natural textures of the floral blooms. The mixture gives the tablescape interest and a garden-like, contemporary feel.
